The assault caused the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
